faith and art

I've been pondering what sort of art I want to do in the future. My skills are not awesome yet, so I need to think about my area of focus me thinks.
This has got me thinking about my beliefes on pornagraphy, nakedness, lust, religion, etc.
As hard as it might be to believe, I am a Christian. There is a pretty fundamental belief in christanity that you should live for Christ and God.
But how does one do that? Most would say through praise, prayer, and living as God wishes you too.
Am I to take that as meaning that I should just go by some rules and pay lip service? That seems rather simple and not very spirtual at all. It also sounds a little degrading to God to assume that to praise such a grand being all you have to do is verbally kiss his butt.
So, how does one praise a God? Would I be wrong to say that it is done by letting him shine through me and my actions?
And if I do that, what of my art? And what of keeping with his tenants in my art?
One thing I'd like to do is eventually get to where I draw the human form well. I'd really like to be able to draw women well. I would like to be able to draw all kinds of women well. Something I hear a lot from women is how unhappy they are that they do not match the female ideal, physically, and how it makes them feel ugly. I'd really like to be able to draw all kinds of women in a way that shows that everyone is beautiful.
However, beauty and sex are related. There is a very smeared line between being attractive and being desired. And is being desired really a sin?
And is my goal really noble? Is there not a greater problem of society objectifying women? Is that not why most women feel ugly? Because they are told they are objects and that to have worth they must have this shape or form? And am I really making things better by making all women objects instead of just a select few?
